The story of a photographer

Mitch Calhoun has an MFA in Producing and Filmmaking with a concentration in Acting for Film from the Seattle Film Institute. He has worked in film, television and marketing for luxury tour companies and media companies such as Fox TV, Thrasher, Vice Media, and NBC. He is retired from the United States Army where he served as a Forward Observer and later taught medical laboratory science to Soldiers and Sailors for George Washington University. His education also includes a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences, Cum Laude.

Mitch grew up in Southern California and now calls the state of Washington home. He has taught at GKHS since 2018 and won the Heart of an Eagle award in 2020 and 2022. You can find him there today teaching Digital Photography 1, Digital Photography 2, and AP 2D Art and Design. He loves all things camera and design related.
